By “Experiencing” Christ’s Mercy, we are transformed and increase His Living Presence in us.
By “Sharing” Mercy, we extend His Love and Forgiveness to others, so that they may also be transformed.
By “Celebrating” Mercy together, Christ dwells among us as a parish family and we become more united with Him.
Jubilee Year of Mercy
Welcome to the Jubilee Year of Mercy!
Pope Francis has touched the hearts of many believers and non-believers around the world. His message is quite simple—we are to love our brothers and sisters beyond measure. It is a message that calls us to know and live the Gospel, not just read and recite it to others. Yet fulfilling that message can be quite difficult.
This year of mercy is a reminder that each of us is a recipient of the tender mercy of the Father. Time and time again we return to the Father in need of forgiveness, compassion, and love. He is never outdone in His capacity to shower us with those gifts. However, that mercy, so freely bestowed upon us, must also be shared; must be lived. The beauty is that we cannot be disciples of Mercy without first receiving that Mercy.
May this year be filled with moments when each of us recognize His tremendous gifts of Mercy in our lives and moments when we freely share that Mercy with our brothers and sisters.
