Blessed are those who hunger.

Based in Philadelphia, St. John’s Hospice builds an environment, on the foundation of faith, where persons facing homelessness and poverty can find the dignity, respect, nourishment and hope that they deserve.

With a number of opportunities for involvement, including various donations and volunteer openings, St. John’s encourages the use of personal gifts and talents as a positive force on the world.

St. Patrick Parish participates in the organization’s Casserole program, which serves homemade Casseroles that are donated as the main course of a meal served to hundreds of those in need. Casserole tins are distributed on the third Sunday of each month and returned filled and frozen with a nourishing meal, and transported to St. John’s Hospice for Men. Please mark the lid with the main ingredients and the date on which you prepared the casserole.

In addition to active involvement in the casserole program, we provide clothing and toiletries for the men at St. John’s through a number of timely special programs throughout the year.
