Journey through Lent with St. Patrick Church

This Lent we have numerous opportunities to enrich your Lenten journey.

FAST AND ABSTINENCE AND OTHER ACTS OF PENANCE FOR LENT 2025

The Bishops of the United States prescribe, as minimal obligation, that all persons who are fourteen years of age and older are bound to abstain from eating meat on Ash Wednesday, March 5, 2025, on all the Fridays of Lent, and Good Friday.

Further, all persons eighteen years of age and older, up to and including their fifty-ninth birthday, are bound to fast by limiting themselves to a single full meal on Ash Wednesday and on Good Friday while the other two meals on those days are to be light.

All the faithful are encouraged, when possible, to participate at Mass and to receive the Holy Eucharist daily, to celebrate frequently the Sacrament of Penance, to undertake spiritual reading, especially the study of the Sacred Scriptures, and to participate in parish Lenten devotions as well as Lenten education programs. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is especially recommended.

All are encouraged to participate in Operation Rice Bowl, which has aided countless hungry persons here in the Archdiocese as well as throughout our nation and our world.

Daily Mass

Daily Mass will be celebrated at the normal schedule of Mondays through Fridays at 6:30AM & 9:00AM.
On Saturdays we offer a 9:00AM Mass.

Stations of the Cross

Stations of the Cross will be prayed on Friday evenings at 7:00PM beginning on March 7.
We will offer Stations of the Cross on March 7, 14 & 28 and April 4 & 11.

Traveling Crucifix

Parishioners are invited to create a special place in their home for the traveling crucifix for three days. A prayer booklet with readings and reflections will be provided which includes content for each day. There is an alternate version of the booklet for families with young children. When your time with the crucifix is complete you are asked to pass it on to the next family.  Sign up here

Forty Hours
March 9 through March 11

Let your heart be drawn closer to our Lord through Eucharistic Adoration. Join other parishioners as we come before the Lord for Forty Hours of prayer and adoration. Experience Jesusgentle love and open your hearts to His mercy and grace by praying in His presence.  Our Forty Hours devotion begins after the 11:30AM Mass Sunday morning March 9th.  Each evening we will gather at 7:00PM for Night Prayer and a reflection shared by Fr. William Gabriel O.S.A.  Sign up boards will be posted in the back of church. Dont pass up this special opportunity of prayer during the Lenten season!

Day of Reconciliation
April 11

Wherever you might find yourself along the journey of faith, know that the Lord is calling you to return to Him to be embraced by His love. St. Patrick Parish will celebrate this great gift of Love and Forgiveness during a Day of Reconciliation. Beginning at 9:30am (lasting until 6:30pm), priests will be available in the Church to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Whether it has been a month, a year, a decade or longer, you are invited to return to the Father to be healed, forgiven and loved.
