Advent Quiet

The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas seems to go by with lightning speed.

Ironically, in the Christian Tradition, this is also the season of Advent. Advent is a time of slowing down, of hopeful anticipation and waiting; and a time of reflective preparation for the season of Christmas – quite a cultural contrast to the busy and chaotic shopping season we experience.

Why not spend some time (one hour) in Advent Quiet – reflection upon and experiencing the faith of those so closely linked to the birth of our savior?

Each Sunday afternoon there will be quiet music, a reading from scripture and a short reflection.

You are invited to spend some “quiet time” in preparation for the celebration of the birth of Christ, our Savior.
