The Columbiettes is group of Catholic women, 18 or older who are gathered to support and promote the spiritual and social welfare of our members, to help safeguard the religious and economic rights of all Catholics and to rely upon the intercession of the Blessed Vigin Mary to love and aid all members of the human family and give assistance to the Knights of Columbus upon their request.  

The concept of the Columbiettes began in New York in 1939 when Monsignor J. Francis McIntyre in his role as Chaplain of the New York Chapter of the Knights of Colombus had the idea to create a female organization to work with the Knights of Columbus.

There a currently over 13,000 Columbiettes in the United States and there are ten auxiliaries in the state of Pennsylvania.   St. Patrick Church officially began their auxiliary in 2025 and has a current enrollment of 21 members.

Our members meet the second Thursday of each month (except July, August & December) in the St. Brigid room of the MAC Spirituality Center.
