A Community of Faith

Are you thinking about becoming a Catholic? Do you know someone who is considering converting? Are you a baptized Catholic who has not been active or has not received all of the Sacraments of Initiation? St. Patrick’s RCIA Team welcomes all who are interested in attending RCIA classes.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults program is a process that begins in the fall, with weekly meetings until May. Candidates are prepared for the reception of the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist and are fully received into the Church at the Easter Vigil.

Classes are also held for those who have already been baptized Catholic but who have not yet received the sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Eucharist. People of other faiths who wish to come into full communion with the Catholic Church are also welcome.

If you or someone you know wants to begin the journey to conversion, please call the Parish Office at 610-647-2345 or contact us by email at receptionist@stpatrickmalvern.org to register for classes. Meetings are held in the Rectory Meeting Room on Monday evenings, from 7:30 – 8:30 PM.

For Catholic Initiation of Older Children, contact the Office of Religious Education at 610-296-8899.

Nicene Creed

We believe in God, the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
and all that is seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, one in Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he was born of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered, died, and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in fulfillment of the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead,
and His kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son
he is worshipped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.

We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.
