Families of our parish with children entering first grade are called to enroll them in our Parish Religious Education Program (PREP). PREP meets once weekly, in the evenings, and provides a unique opportunity for children with a secularized education to reap the benefits of a supplementary religious curriculum –by which they will grow in love and depth of faith.
A religious education is an essential foundational block for a young life as it is most critical to establish spiritual roots in the formative years of first through eighth grade. PREP students will find in each weekly meeting an opportunity to strengthen their relationships with our Lord, become young people of integrity and form connections with other faith-filled children.
Along with song, scripture and other engaging activities, each PREP student is automatically enrolled in our sacramental preparations program. Sacramental prep will educate students on the sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Communion and Confirmation – and the children will receive the sacraments with the students of our parochial school.
To request a New Student or New Family Registration Form, contact the office of Religious Education at 610-296-8899 or email Patricia Wood.
Parishioners who would like to share their Catholic Faith with the children of our parish are called to serve as PREP instructors. It is the generosity, faith and dedication of such individuals that enlighten our young people and gently shape a new generation of faith-filled Disciples of Christ. You do not have to have a child in the program to volunteer. For more information, contact the office of Religious Education at 610-296-8899.
