Share the Word of God with Children.

Engage and enlighten children parishioners by volunteering for the Children’s Liturgy of the Word as a group leader or assistant. Ensure that both children and parents make the most of their individual liturgical experiences.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word is a time of prayer and reflection on God’s Word presented with child-friendly language and rituals.

All children are called to Children’s Liturgy of the Word at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. weekly Sunday Mass, from September through May. After the opening prayer, children who wish to attend are invited to the lower church to hear the First Reading and the Gospel in simple, relatable language. Readings are accompanied by singing, interactive dialogue, and other activities. Children return before the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

View the current Children’s Liturgy of the Word calendar here.

Adult Group Leaders are always welcome. Older children are invited to serve as Leader Assistants. For more volunteer information, contact Sister Eileen Tiernan at 610-296-8899 or etiernan@stpatrickmalvern.org
